Under the guidance of the Chief of Private Partnerships and in close cooperation with the rest of the Digital and Islamic Philanthropy team, the Associate Digital and Individual Giving Consultant contributes to implementing the engagement strategy for the Digital Islamic Giving programme. The incumbent will be also in charge to design appropriate donor journeys for different categories of individual donors at global level, to support the growth of individual giving and to secure stable income and further expansion of the individual donor base. In particular, the Digital and Individual Giving Officer is responsible for implementing the donors' journey of the different clusters of individual donors, with a specific focus on regular donors. In addition, the officer will also oversee maintaining and strengthening the stewardship with the existing individual donors, developing customized loyalty plans, designing specific digital storytelling, following a donor-centric perspective, supported by a solid data-driven approach. As such, the officer will be required to have strong technical skills in digital metrics and analytics as well as relevant recent experience in development of digital marketing campaigns.

The duration of the consultancy is till end of December 2022 with a possible extension in 2023 and an expected start date of as soon as possible.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and manage different donor's journeys and implement individual donor relationships and stewardship through digital channels, increasing their retention and donation level• Implement and carry on specific regular donor' programs• Support the Agency's efforts in the diversification of fundraising channels through Islamic financing, individual fundraising, and private partnerships• Increase engagement of individual supporters through strengthened digital donor communication and donor experience.• Produce written content in English and Arabic and leverage storytelling skills to mobilize support and resources• Develop and create digital content for campaigns to advertise Islamic and regular fundraising campaigns and project• Leading on messaging around Islamic giving and content aimed at a Middle Eastern/Arabic speaking audience and Arab diaspora worldwide• In close cooperation with CRM and Data Analysis Coordinator, monitoring and evaluation on the digital loyalty program and digital Islamic giving campaigns• Ensure timely and accurate reporting on digital fundraising activities (ie, monitoring on donors’ behaviors, lifetime value, etc.), also including market analysis in order to report on trends in digital marketing and Islamic giving.• Prepare talking points and presentations for the Division related to digital and individual giving engagement• Provide additional administrative assistance and support as required by the Chief of Private Partnerships • Support the development and implementation of various innovative fundraising tools• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/special skills

Academic Qualifications: A university degree from an accredited educational institution in Communication, Marketing, Social Sciences, or another relevant field.Experience: • Minimum of 4 years of progressive and measurable work in digital fundraising, it should include: A) at least two years of experience closely related to Islamic giving B) at least 2 continuous years of relevant international experience outside UNRWA’s areas of operations and outside the country(s) of which the candidate is a national or holds citizenship, a passport, or a national identity number.• Strong experience in private donors’ relations• Knowledge and experience in planningCompetency: • Strong knowledge of the leading digital channels and main Islamic giving technicalities• Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of web metrics digital analytics, with the ability to generate, analyze and build strategies accordingly• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills• Ability to develop creative solutions • Drive for results• Ability to work efficiently in a team• Excellent written communication skills• Track record of working independently and meeting tight deadlinesSkills: Knowledge of the UN system is desirableLanguage: Fluency in English and Arabic

Additional Information

• The remuneration for this consultancy is $4,968 (equivalent to P2 level).• The consultant will be based in Amman/Jordan.
